| Click here to download the flyer (pdf) The Marin City Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition hosted a day of service on Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 18th from 9 am-2 pm with activities for all ages! The program included: 9 am -12 pm Outdoor Community Beautification Project at the new MLK, Jr. Academy A community garden was built at the newly renovated MLK Academy! For more information please visit www.conservationcorpsnorthbay.org or call 415-454-4554 ext. 285. 10 am - 12 pm Community Leadership Breakfast Forum & Awards During the Forum we celebrated grassroots leaders that are advancing the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King in our County. This year we celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in the Marin City’s history and introduced the Marin City Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition, its mission and plans to build a safe, healthy, thriving and self-determining community. Hundreds of community members came together to honor local students with MLK Youth Art & Essay Contest Awards and to enjoy a delicious soul-food community lunch.
