Video in Spanish about the Census
After months of organizing, canvassing, and hard work from agencies and families
across Marin, we are excited to share with you the successes of this year's
Marin Census Outreach Campaign.

As a result of our collective efforts as a County, Marin championed all three regional,
state, and national average participation rates! Our wins, by the numbers:

2010 Census Participation Rates

Marin County: 75 %
Regional (highest rate by County): 75%
California State Avg: 71 %
National Avg: 72 %

Who We Reached
Throughout the course of this year's campaign, the Committee successfully reached a
total of
22,000+ households and 70,000+ individuals in hard-to-count
neighborhoods across Marin to promote census awareness, education, and
participation.

2010 Marin Census Contributors
Spreading the word about the Census is tough work. That's why working together is
such an important part of achieving our goals as a community. With support from the
County of Marin and the Marin Community Foundation, the Marin Complete Count
Committee, a broad-based, multi-sector partnership of
 60+ local organizations
who worked together to promote the census through organize door-to-door
canvassing, community-wide forums,  educational presentations, TV and radio
programming, news coverage, phone banking, e-advocacy campaigns, and more.
The list of member organizations is below.

And thanks to the collective efforts of agencies and community members like you
across Marin, our State will be better represented in the federal policy decisions made
by Congress and our County will be eligible for federal funding critically needed to
support infrastructure and service needs for our:

Hospitals, Job training centers, Schools, Senior centers, Bridges, tunnels and
other-public works projects, Emergency services and much more

In short,
Thank You-- our longtime community partners and friends-- for standing up
to be counted and continuing to help make Marin a County we can all truly be proud of.
