ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH GO-GETTERS INITIATIVE
"Because we are our environment"

The Environmental Health Go-Getters is an
educational initiative created in 2005 to support
individuals and organizations to become advocates for
health and environmental justice in Marin County's low-
income communities.

Activities of the Initiative include leadership
development trainings, such as the Health &
Environment Grassroots Leadership Academy –
offered from February to May 2005, a hands-on cancer
incidence study in low-income neighborhoods of Marin
County, and the creation of the
Marin Environmental
Health & Justice Collaborative.
